Stalking – in other words dangerous pursuit. Stalking is when the perpetrator pursues the victim in a long-term, systematic way and violates her personal space, all unsolicited. Usually such a stalker also impersonates the victim himself or demonstrates his power and position by destroying the property of a victim. If the perpetrator uses information technology to stalk and harass (sending harassing messages, repeated commenting on the victim's posts, contacting under a false identity...), this is cyberstalking.
