As geeks, we determine a group of people who are distinguished by the keen interest and insight in their field, usually, but not only in the field of IT. In this way, they turn off from the user (consumer) mainstream of contemporary society. Geeks on the contrary to nerds, do not tend to isolate themselves from society. On the contrary, they are trying to spread their hobby (their subject of interest and fandom) further. Nerds are sort of antisocial. They are devotely going for their hobby, but which tends to be more of an anti-social activity (e.g. playing video games, programming,...); they understand in detail its principles and mechanisms, less so then their surroundings.
The folder in the Czech original contains an introduction of basic concepts and perhaps even slang or sociolect related to the given phenomenon, as well as working and study materials (articles, interviews, presentations,...) and other useful information (films and series, internet portals, books, professional workplaces and organizations, televisual and radio documentaries,...).
