Freeganism is one of the so-called alternative ways of life. It is based on minimal resource consumption. It strives to participate as little as possible in the cycle of wasteful consumption and on an economic system based on overconsumption. Freegans strive for a maximally independent existence. This shows, for example, in picking ("unnecessarily thrown out") food and other waste from dumpsters and reusing it, resorting to squatting for a purpose to use uninhabited ("unnecessarily lying idle") buildings. However, this often puts them in conflict with the law.
The folder in the Czech original contains an introduction of basic concepts and perhaps even slang or sociolect related to the given phenomenon, as well as working and study materials (articles, interviews, presentations,...) and other useful information (films and series, internet portals, books, professional workplaces and organizations, televisual and radio documentaries,...).
